Read EULAYou can purchase a Font License for yourself or on behalf of a client, such as when working as an external designer. However, the License must be owned by the end user—the person or entity for whom the Licensed Fonts will be used. This must be specified as the "Licensee" during checkout.
The Licensed Fonts can only be used for the client specified as the Licensee. You cannot use the Fonts for any other clients or purposes beyond what is covered by the License.
The Desktop License covers use in logotypes for small companies with up to 10 employees—make sure to convert the Font into outlines, as sharing the Font outside the Licensee's organization is not allowed. If you need a License for a larger company, please get in touch with us, providing the number of employees for a price quote.
Use across social media is governed by the Desktop License. The first 10,000 followers are covered for free—if you need a larger Social Media License, please get in touch with us, providing the number of followers for a price quote.
Using our Fonts in videos is governed by the Video License; included for free with all Desktop Licenses for small companies with up to 10 employees. If you need a License for a larger company, please get in touch with us, providing the number of employees for a price quote.
Using our Fonts to create merchandise, i.e. any consumer goods that can be purchased, is governed by a Desktop License Addon—please get in touch with us, providing the number of employees for a price quote.
Yes, you must upgrade your License if you exceed the terms of your current one in order to continue using the Licensed Fonts. The good news is that you only pay the difference in price between the tiers when upgrading.
We're currently developing a self-checkout system to make upgrading your License online quick and easy. In the meantime, just get in touch with us at upgrade@kometa.xyz and we'll generate a payment link to facilitate your License upgrade.
Web MUV is calculated as a 3 month moving average—if that average is exceeded, you need to upgrade the following month. For instance, the number of February MUV is calculated from the sum of the months November through January.
Yes. Licensed Web Fonts may be used across multiple domains, provided the combined traffic of those domains (measured in MUV) does not exceed your licensed tier. Additionally, all domains must be owned by the Licensee and relate to the same project.
For instance, a Web License for up to 50,000 MUV can cover both example.com (30,000 MUV) and example.co.uk (15,000 MUV), since their combined total of 45,000 MUV remains within the licensed limit.
You are responsible for ensuring that you stay within the tier metrics you have paid for and you must upgrade your License accordingly if your use exceeds them. We do check if usage limits are being met, so make sure to have appropriate tracking software in place, i.e. Web/App user analytics.
